I don’t know if this is appropriate but I am going to throw it out there, I have used my last container of dried mushroom soup mix and I like so many others did not print out the recipie thinking it will always be here. 🙁 does anyone have this printed out that they would be willing to share? I have a few things from this site that I would be willing to share.

I am sorry, I won’t do that then.

I had never visited this website until today when I searched for a recipe for healthy homemade coffee creamer. When I saw that it was closed I started to read the comments. If it’s true that this site was closed due to bullying comments left then that makes me mad/sad. It’s clear by the many message left that this was a site that was valued and trusted by many good people. I’m guessing far, far many more good people than food/health police aka internet trolls. (who infest every single healthy lifestyle blog out there like it’s their job) I don’t know anything about the author of this blog but I respect your need to do what’s best for your well being. That said, I hope that if this blog was really shut down because of bullies leaving nasty comments that you will reconsider, give them the middle finger and carry on with your blog. Just sayin.

Why did this close down? This was my go to site for all the best recipes and information. Will you ever start back up? I would love to buy a cookbook if you decide to create one. Thanks so much for all you have done.

I am so sorry to see you had to close this website. I did not know you were doing it until I got the “closed” sign so was unable to get copies of the “OH so many” recipes that you have provided for us. I did get a few wrote down while making up some of the recipes though. It was such a great website to learn so much from. Like other people that have commented on here, I hope you are able to have a book printed with all of your great recipes. I, for one, will certainly be buying it.

  7. Linda Harrison says:

I only printed off part of what I wanted to. so I would certainly buy a book if you ever thought of transferring all the information on dehydrating and all your wonderful recipes that were on your site and putting them in book format. Best wishes to you in your future endeavors.

I,too, used your site so often. I went thru several printer cartridges and reams of paper making my little cookbook/recipe collection from this site ALONE. No other site had the down home knowledge and shared it freely. I sincerely appreciated all the hard work and knowledge you shared and for whatever the reason for shutting down, I pray the Heavenly Father blesses you with strength, wisdom and peace knowing how very many people’s lives you have touched and help to carry on food preservation. I look forward to linking (seeing you now & again) on the Internet, whether Facebook or windy internet vehicle. Blessings to you, Colleen, and THANK YOU again for all your hard work…once again, we truly never appreciate what we have until we no longer have it. Hugs

Whatever happened for you to end up closing shop…I’m so sorry! You were the person that assisted me on my journey of getting back to true basics with food. I buy very little processed food now and dehydrate all of the growing season and more. I have been travelling across Canada to our new home for the past 6 weeks and have had little access to the internet. We move in tomorrow and was planning to start making all the food we had to leave behind. I will miss this site…this baby of yours immensely! All the best Colleen!

Peace to Collen.

  46. toni mize says:

This was closed so quickly. No time, for me, in a busy season to attempt at saving your hard work. I have copied many things as I’ve come cross them but nearly enough.
I wish you all the best. And thank you for sharing everything you did and how you tried to educate us. It is so sad however, that we cannot go back and review all the tips you worked so hard at sharing with us. It will be information that should be shared and taught to following generations. This resurgence of home preservation needs to be taught to those who will carry it forward. So many people today do not and will not.. It will be up to those who have been given these tidbits of valuable information that would of been able to do that. I wish you well in all of your days. God Bless you.
