Make Your Own Olive Garden Salad Dressing at Home with Dried Herbs & Spices

Served with all their meals, the Olive Garden salad and salad dressing is their signature—and only—dressing. They don’t offer any other flavors of salad dressing. It’s THAT good. Making this from scratch, you can adjust the flavors. With fewer preservatives, you will pay a lot less than the bottles you can buy.

Herbs may be purchased or home-dried. Blends may be purchased or homemade as well. See specific links below in the ingredient list. Your dehydrated seasonings give this salad dressing premiere taste and convenience.

If this recipe is a little too tart for your personal taste, add a little extra sugar. You can store, refrigerated, for about ten days if kept in an airtight container. This dressing makes a great marinade for vegetables or meats to grill as well. Try it on a chicken breast and pasta salad for a deliciously fresh summertime meal.

Olive Garden Salad Dressing

Makes 1-1/4 cups

1/2 cup mayonnaise
1/3 cup white vinegar
2 tablespoons light corn syrup
2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
2 tablespoons grated Romano cheese
1 tablespoon lemon juice or 1/2 tablespoon lemon powder
1 teaspoon olive oil
1/2 teaspoon dried Italian seasoning blend
1/2 teaspoon dried parsley flakes
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
Sugar (optional)


  1. Combine all the ingredients in a blender until well mixed.
  2. Taste the dressing and add extra sugar, a little at a time, if it is a little too tart for your taste.
  3. Keep salad dressing for up to 10 days in an airtight container refrigerated.
