Buttermilk Ranch Dry Seasoning Mix


Many of you have requested a good dry convenience mix for Buttermilk Ranch Dressing. I have been searching for a good one for years and I think I have finally found it! This one has received two thumbs up in my home.


Ranch Dressing Dry Seasoning Mix

Makes about 1-1/8 cups (18 tablespoons) of dry mix

Ingredients
homemade-ranch-dressing-spices1/2 cup parsley flakes
1/4 cup dried, minced onion
1-1/2 tablespoons garlic powder
1 tablespoon kosher salt
4 teaspoons black pepper
4 teaspoons dried, minced garlic
2 teaspoons dill weed
1/2 tablespoon onion powder

Directions

Combine all ingredients in a blender. Blend at high speed until smooth. Store in an airtight container. Shake before using.

To Make Dressing

Makes 1-3/4 Quarts

Ingredients
2 cups mayonnaise
2 cups buttermilk
1 1/2 cups sour cream
1 teaspoon lemon juice or 1/8 teaspoon lemon powder
2 tablespoons dry seasoning mix

Directions

Whisk together ingredients thoroughly. Refrigerate for 2 hours.

To Make Dip

Ingredients
2 cups sour cream, creamed cheese, or Greek yogurt
2 tablespoons dry seasoning mix

Directions

Whisk together ingredients thoroughly. Refrigerate for 2 hours.

To Use in Cooking

Ingredients
1-1/2 tablespoons dry buttermilk powder
1 tablespoon dry seasoning mix

Directions

Whisk together ingredients thoroughly and add to your recipe. Use in any recipe calling for an envelope of ranch dressing mix.

Notes:

  • Dry buttermilk powder can be found at most grocery stores.
  • If you do not have dry buttermilk powder, mix up 1/2 cup of dry powdered milk AND 1/2 teaspoon lemon powder. OR add 2 tablespoons of buttermilk to your recipe.
