Better-than-Manwich® Sloppy Joe Pantry Packs

Three variations; 1) common kitchen ingredients, 2) dehydrated sauce ingredients, & 3) “Just-Add-Water” Pantry Packs!

Those cans of Manwich Sauce, mocking me every time I opened my cupboard door, were one of my last hold-outs to a preservative-free kitchen. I knew the sodium and the sugars were sky-high and the preservatives were there, but I just could not part with it — until I started making my own version. And, as it tastes much better, I have not bought a can of the stuff since!

Start with the Sloppy Joe Seasoning Blend and then decide how you want to make your Sloppy Joes. These recipes are gluten-free.

HI I am a bit confused on the directions for the just add water sloppy joes- when / how do you put the meat crumbles in the jar- with the tomato powder, mushroom powder, and seasoning blend? Also, in step 2 it says add remaining ingredient from ziplock bag, but I thought these got rehyrdrated with the meat in step 1?

It is sooo convienent that you put all the directions for multiple versions of each recipe – flexibilty is awesome! Thanks – you have made me (and I am sure a lot of others LOL) much more confident in our cooking and using what we store!
